Effects induced on the player[]
Bug Splatter[]
A brown splatter briefly appears on the screen for a few seconds. While it has no direct effect on the player, it temporarily obscures a part of the screen. Players can experience this effect when a sand-bug touches them. (check Events).
Heat/Sweat[]
The player begins to sweat, visible through sweat particles emanating from their character. As a result of the heatwave, the player's hunger depletes twice as rapidly, indicated by the << symbol on the hunger bar. (check Events).
Toxic/Radiation[]
The player starts to emit a neon green glow accompanied by green particles, indicating exposure to a toxic substance. This effect reduces the rate at which hunger decreases, but it cannot be removed and may be considered annoying due to the persistent green particles. Players acquire this effect by grabbing a yellow barrel marked with a toxic symbol. A sizzling sound accompanies the action of grabbing the barrel, further indicating its hazardous nature. (check items and objects).
Blindness[]
The screen momentarily darkens, obscuring the player's vision for a few seconds. This effect occurs when the player looks at the sun during an eclipse. Additionally, the player will take damage upon gazing directly at the sun. (check Events).
Effects induced on the vehicle[]
Slippery[]
During a thunderstorm, the rain creates slippery conditions on the road, causing vehicles to slide and become semi-uncontrollable. It is recommended for players to drive in a straight line to maintain control of their vehicle.
Corrosion[]
Under specific circumstances or actions, vehicles can rust or corrode. Examples include explosions from RPGs or dynamite, lightning strikes, and gunfire. Vehicles can spawn in a rusty condition, but can be cleaned using a sponge at any time. Note that certain parts, such as doors, take longer to clean with a sponge after being rusted.
