(NOTE: DUSTY TRIP UNIVERSE IS IN THE SAME UNIVERSE AS FIELD TRIP Z)[]

Lore is background information on the game’s story and how it happened. The lore is obviously not completely solved, but there is a reasonable amount of evidence for us to work with, and there’s still more to come. For discovering the game lore, we need to ignore gamepass cars and focus on the two starter cars: the Classica and the Vantage. Both are Soviet cars so we can assume this game is set in a late 80s post-apocalyptic USSR. All fun and games in there. But why is there a western styled ghost village at 25000m? Well... my theory is that during the fall (the disaster told in the 3rd page in the desert at 7500m) a nuclear disaster (and not a pandemic as some believe) occurred, and it was so strong that the USSR and USA joined together and then the radiation infected almost everyone on Earth, turning them into mutants, and the remaining survivors turned into bandits. The only good survivors are the shopkeeper and the professor who wrote the six notes which we can find as we go further (in the desert)- and he may also be the first person who entered the desert. Unfortunately we cant find him so we can assume that he either turned into a mutant or died trying to go further.

Morse code found at the radio tower at 20000km[]

RadioTower

in this place you can listen to the morse code

SEND HELP FIELDS UNDER ATTACK HES WATCHING YOU (... . -. -.. / .... . .-.. .--. / ..-. .. . .-.. -.. ... / ..- -. -.. . .-. / .- - - .- -.-. -.- / .... . ... / .-- .- - -.-. .... .. -. --. / -.-- --- ..-)

(since this is based during the Cold War, this could possibly be soldiers mistaking the mutants for Soviet soldiers.)

Diary found at 30km in Plains[]

ENTRY 53[]

Found somethin' mighty peculiar out by the east field today. After the mornin' chores were done, I set out to check on the crops, mindin' my own business, as always. But lo' and behold, what do I stumble upon amidst the overgrown weeds and twisted metal? A rifle, like nothin' I'd ever seen.

It weren't no ordinary gun. Had all these strange buttons and wires, shiny glowy metal gleamin' against the rusted remnants of civilization. Must've been one of them sci-fi contraptions the old-timers used to talk about before everything went to pot.[1]

Can't rightly say how it got there or what it's meant for, but it felt powerful in my hands, like holdin' the fate of this broken world. Took it back to the homestead, And if them mutants come creepin' again, maybe this new-fangled gizmo will give em' a run for their money.

ENTRY 54[]

Margie's still out tending the wheat fields... Woke up to the sound of bang boomin this mornin', and it weren't the usual livestock carryin on. Rushed to the window and saw em, thought it was the muties... Grabbed the rifle, my hands shakin' more than a leaf in a storm.

Need to get everyone outta here, while I still can...

(the bang is referring to possibly a nuclear explosion, the same nuclear explosion from Field Trip Z Nuke Ending.)

Book inside the bunker vault at km 20000[]

Vaultbook

Clear text below

To get this, you'll need a code that only the commander mutant can give. Otherwise, you won't be able to access the vault. (credits to @kobroko. for figuring out the text)

ANALYSIS REPORT 39[]

TimeSplicer

Refers to this gun:the time splicer

Subject 51: Time Splicer

Grade: CALAMITY

The weapon designated as the “Time Splicer” has been classified under the highest threat level, “Calamity”. This classification indicates extreme danger to both users and potential targets. The Ray Gun has been obtained and is currently isolated for display purposes. Under proper use, it is capable of manipulating the temporal state of objects and individuals. This includes but is not limited to: accelerating, decelerating, or entirely halting time within a localized area. Containment and isolation is recommended to counteract potential temporal anomalies.

ANALYSIS REPORT 40[]

Radioactive barrel

Maybe the toxic waste from the lab after the nuclear disaster is the mutation strand

Subject 52: Mutation Strand

Grade: CRITICAL

The biological agent designated as “Mutation Strand” was initially classified under the “Dangerous” grade. However, further analysis reveals that this classification underestimates the potential threat. The Mutation Strand, derived from the Zero Virus encountered years before, has been isolated and sent to a specialized laboratory for detailed study.

(the Zero Virus IS the outbreak in Field Trip Z)

The six desert notes written by the professor[]

Classica and Vantage[]

These vehicles might have been owned by the professor, who passed them down to the current owner (the player), as this timeline takes place years later. This could mean that the professor used a different car to escape. The professor is most likely from the USSR, as mentioned in Field Trip Z, and assumed by the model origin of the vehicles he passed down to us.

Zero Labs[]

Zero labs

close up zero labs logo

This is the mysterious organization responsible for the investigations and the catastrophic event known as the fall. We don't know too much about them, but before that, they manufactured weapons and documented their experiments in secret until, after lots of experiments using radioactive materials, something went wrong and caused a nuclear disaster leading to the end of the world. Also as a fun fact the mysterious professor used to work here, but he had to run at the desert to survive the fall.

(NOTE: Zero Labs is the same organization that started a zombie outbreak in Jandel's other game, Field Trip Z)

Possible Zero Labs locations[]

  1. The survivor is probably talking about the Time Splicer.
